      Help req. Thanks

My family and myself would like to move to Aus to live and work however I am not sure if we can and would like someone to advise.

I have worked in IT for 14 years however my primary skills are in the SOL list but not on the MODL list. I could get Certifications to prove I can do one of the jobs on the list but my past jobs did not focus on any of these and for the last 4.5 years I have been self employed.

Does anyone know if I can blag this or if I would need to get a job in one of the MODL occupations for a few years and get certified also.

      Thanks in Advance.

Im no expert so dont really know whats best for you to do,maybe one of our resident agents will pick up this thread and point you in the right direction. All the rules have changed lately and its abit confusing to say the least. We used Visa Bureau as our agents ,they offered a free telephone assesment and explained which visa was best for us and why, they were brill from day 1 and ive no probs recommending them.Good luck and dont give up till youve explored every opening,

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place...
If you get a chance, take it, If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy they just said it would be worth it...

      Hiya Nutters

There's a guy on here, Peter, an agent specialising in IT cases. He posts under the tag ptlabs.

If you do a search on his tag in the members list box above, you can send him a Private Message or e-mail, or get the link to his website.

      Hope it helps

      IT Professional Skills Visa

      Hi there,

I have spoken to an agent just today regarding going out on a skills visa as an IT professional. You need 9 years experience or a degree. I have 5 yrs experience and no degree however my fiance is currently over there so I can go out on the prospective marriage visa.

I have spoken to a few agents and the one who contacted me today are superb. They were recommended to me from someone on here. I completed the online assesment online last night, they asked for my cv this morning, I phoned their freephone number and had a conversation today and they are sending the forms out in the post for me tonight to get the ball rolling. They are certainly on the ball and know their stuff. www.1stcontact.com freephone 0800 039 3074

Hope this helps you Rgds, Jo
