      De facto

      Hi guys,

I was just after a bit of help please.

We are just about to submit our 457 visa but the visa agent has advised that weneed more info such as joint bank account etc. The problem we don’t have ajoint bank account loans etc.

We’ve sent our joint rental agreement but my questions is will recent bills andcouncil tax documents be enough??

      Thanks

      Loz

I think you will need more than that. Perhaps testimonies from friends and relatives, photos on holiday, joint committemtn such as pets, flight tickets for holidays, breakdown of your household finances - who pays what etc...

If you don't provide information they do email you saying they need more with a detailed suggestion list.

Anyway is this agent not providing you with a detailed list of what is required?

Can you show money being transfered between bank accounts. Or Car insurance with both on same policy, House insurance on same policy. You need to show that you are financially connected. Or statement on how you manage your money etc. Bank account statements both being sent to same address.

Is there anything that you have bought together.

      http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skill...-checklist.pdf

Page 4 lists the requirements, I suppose if you were to send as much information as you have to cover those then hopefully it will be enough. good luck.

If one person pays for gas/electric and the other pays for council tax then send these through with a statement that they are shared bills, just you split the cost afterwards between yourselves or something. At least it shows a record of you both getting billed at the same address if nothing else.

We have sent them old holiday invoices, joint bills etc aswell as the rental agreement and a few other bits and pieces but our agent is advising us to send them more recent bills.

We seem to have sent them so much stuff and they are still asking for more, makes me panic

It will be the recent stuff you need to provide as you need to prove defacto relationship for 6 months for the 457 visa. What about Wills, you can get packs from the post office and do these cheap.

Hi I don't know if this will help but we were told to provide photos of holidays, functions we had been to, special occasions we had had as a couple, receipts & copies of transfers between our accounts, receipts of items we had paid for each other, and testomines from close friends & family. I have been told the more info you can gather the better!!! Hope it helps & good luck :)

      Hi Los,

We sent joint car insurance, we joined the AA in both names, joint health policy (cheap one thru work) joint travel insurance, flight boarding passes (both names) correspondence from my daughters school addressed to us both, photos of us both together over a long period of time showing me with various hair styles (I'm never happy lol) stat decs from English friends and Aussie friends. Joint gas/electric bills.

Also any correspondence from doctors, dentists, optician etc showing you at the same address.

You probably have more evidence than you realise.

If you are still short, study historical e mail, you may have some from friends/relatives inviting you both to parties/events etc. even e mails wishing you both a happy Christmas/Easter will be dated and can be printed off and sent.

      Good luck metoo x
