Finally seem to be getting somewhere

Some of you may of saw the post i put up for other members who work in construction to say that there was a australian employer coming to London and Glasgow to recruit for various roles.

Well I woke up this morning to a email inviting dave to come for a interview with them in July. We werent expecting to hear back so quickly so we're quite pleased.

Not getting too excited.. its only a interview but its about the most luck we've had so far in a year with this.

Just have to see what happens but fingers crossed. Its for a FIFO role from perth but they also have sites in Queensland i think

Thanks! I always get carried away with things like this but im trying not to this time. Im just pleased that he got a interview though since I imagine there would of been a lot of applicants. He'll just have to try his best and if he doesnt get it this time then he'll just have to see if anything else comes up.

It's been a bit of good news in a otherwise crap day! I'm just back from a job interview and was told that there was literally hundreds of applicants and they would be interviewing for the next 2 weeks.. just for a job in a hotel. So feeling a bit down about my whole job situation!

Thanks! Fingers crossed that it comes to something. I like to think that it was me tarting up his cv the other day that helped lol :P

Thats what I'll tell him anyway lol he owes me a drink! We decided to say no to the New zealand offer for a few different reasons so im hoping its a sign! The interviews are between the 15th and the 20th of next month so we need to confirm a date soon, he'll need to take a day off work to go into Glasgow, if i can come with him then i'll see if we can go to the walkabout bar for a kangaroo burger to fit in with the days theme

Sure will! im trying not to worry about the FIFO situation at the moment since its only a interview, i always get carried away! At least i've been used to him being away for a few weeks at a time before. Roll on july!
