Am absolutely floored to learn that the road tax / rego for the $900 bomb we bought on arrival in Oz is $805 for the next 12 months. Eek!![]()

Does anyone have a spare instruction manual for a baby girl?
ACT, but the car is *ahem* still registered in QLD :)
We've just bought a 2003 ford focus for 7k and ours is only 432 for 12 months.
yours sounds well expensive
You're obviously just visiting the ACT for an unknown length of time and intend to return to Qld then, otherwise that would be naughty!
:)

LIFE IS A COIN , YOU CAN SPEND IT ON WHATEVER YOU WISH , BUT ... YOU CAN ONLY SPEND IT ONCE
Is it only QLD that forces you to buy CTP alongside the rego? around 50% of the cost is the compulsory third party... mind you the top up from Youi was on $250..
Vic has TAC insurance included in the rego, not sure if that's the same thing you're talking about.
Covers injury to peoples :)

Does sound expensive, our Tuscan is around $600 a year and our Mazda 121 is about the same I think, maybe a bit less. Dont forget rego includes bare essentials insurance cover too.....
I'm in NSW and my 1999 Magna costs $640 for 12 months which is $313 for the rego and $327 for CTP insurance. I also pay $660 for full comp insurance with maximum no claims. It hurts......
