Renewing UK passports in Australia

Are we able to renew UK passports in Aus as the kids have only a few years left on thiers?
Is it easy enough to do?

Hi yes I did this through the British High Commission in Canberra. Expensive though!

i looked into this and it costs around $275 to renew if you are in oz. i figured it was better to renew while im still in the uk, but i only had around 12 months left on my old passport. i think they add upto 9 months onto your new passport if you are renewing early.

If you live in Australia, UK passports can now only be done through Australian post, they are processed in New Zealand, Costs a lot more than in UK and takes longer.

The High Commission in Canberra no longer deal with it.
