      Chiminea Cooking

Im after a simplified step by step guide on how to use a chiminea , from what form of fuel to use , how much to use , can it be used under the pergola , smokeless fuel would be wanted .......i would only be heating up/cooking food on the top of it as it has like a grill plate , through a casserole dish and using it for warmth outdoors.........it is cast iron too......any advise whatsoever would be good , as you know i like to know the ins and outs of everything before i use things .....

Sister in law has one don't think she's ever cooked on it though, they use smokeless fuel it's made out of recycled cardboard and treated with something so it doesn't smoke.

Nick we use this all year round in the uk !

      we use charcoal and wood

Potatoes wrapped in foil in the coals

Fish wrapped in foil on the grill

spicey beans made in a pot

Meats , kebabs even spiced apples !

you do have to be careful because it get's hotter than a BBQ so the food cooks quicker

I wouldn't put it under a pergola because when the flames start up they are high !
