      ideas from a xmas trip outside sydney??

      Thinking of packing up the car and heading off for a few days with the mrs. Can anyone suggest somewhere that might be nice thats a 4/5 hours drive outside of sydney. I might get a tent if accomodation is a problem. All ideas appreciated

      Any where that distance down the Princess highway would be grand.

      Of course the national capital is within that distance too, well worth a trip.

      Yes we have camped in Cessnock and on the edge of Lake Macquarie.
      The only problem with this time of year is every where is fully booked and most campsites have a 4 day minimum stay.We are spending New Year in Tweed Heads but are having major problems finding some where to stay overnight between Sydney and Tweed Heads.

      What about Jervis Bay, we stayed at Huskisson last year on the way to Sydney, it was only for one night but wish we could have stayed a week. Hyman's Beach is said to be the whitest sand in the world, I must admit it was stunning. Jervis Bay, NSW, Accommodation, Tours, Events and Hire
