Hi there!

We're hoping to move out to Sydney by the end of the year. My OH is a Plumber and we're at the stage of waiting for his results from VETASSESS for his practical.
Anyone else here like us?

hi i am a plumber and thinking of moveing out oz with family and just wanted to know what the vetassess practical was like and what you had to do cheers

Hi there Kev,
Go for it.....! My OH had to have his skills assessed first on paper, compentancy and references etc...Once this is passed, then it was an all day practical, 4 tasks, and 3 question papers covering what he has done through his plumbing career.
We dont know the results yet but he feels happier about it now than before the day!

Thank you for all your wecomes to PIO.

It is an interesting site...a bit addicted at the moment, especially as Im suffering with flu! Another reason to emigrate away from the cambs weather!!
Good luck to all you that are moving to Perth...it seems very popular now. We havent made it there yet, but will definetly visit as soon as we can.

thanks for the reply i am actually going out in a weeks time, to some relatives for a fortnight to have a look in perth. But would really like to know more about the pratical side of the assessment ,and was it in accrington how many people do they assess at a time it seems very daunting the thought of it cheers kev
