After a couple of days of sunshine and 20 deg, it's now back to showers and cool, so our weather is 2 forward and 3 back at the moment.
Not to worry as Spring is just around the corner, just not sure which corner yet.

Hi guys..I know how you feel Jean. GB is not allowing the sun to shine here at all is it. So sick of this rain, sick of waiting for our visa. We have passed our medicals..hurrah...!! and am hoping the visa really will come any day now...fingers crossed. So hopefully we shall be in the illawarra by next April...if a miracle happens before then that would be great...and we can then be there sooner... I dont know about you Jean..but Im fed up..and Ive stopped watching "Wanted Down Under" on BBC2 as it brings out the green eyed monster in me......
Not to worry, your day will come, I thought my blood must have thinned out as I've felt the cold more this year than in the last 38 years, but the news tonight confirmed my suspicions, we have just had our coldest August in 64 years, I wonder what happened to global warming ?

So have we! Gobal warming is very wet here.
RVN, yes it is all so frustrating, even more so because we have passed all the requirements and are just waiting for the request for our final payment so the visa can be issued...........but with the CPVs, the byword at the moment is 'backlog'. We are so close, but still so far away. Just to make it all the more worrying, there is now talk that they are going to run out of 08/09 CP visas by the end of September!!!!
You can only keep the faith for so long.

Hi Skippy - sorry for the long delay in replying - only just back online after nearly 4 weeks! The boys are loving their new playgrounds - I've been taking them to the Croome Regional Stadium too (there's a small off leash area there). We took them a bit further down the coast at the weekend - down to Culburra. We took them on an on leash beach but there was no-one else around so we let them off for a swim & a good run - they loved it! Unfortunately, our springer has dominancy issues & other dogs find it rude when he tries to grab the scruff of their necks & mount them so I'm trying to keep him away from other dogs for now - I really need to get him socialising with others in a controlled environment though so if anyone wants to volunteer their pooches for weekend playdates I'd be grateful. OH is just getting very annoyed with him as he wasn't as bad in the UK - I think a month away from us has made him lose a few manners & control. Time & patience will help, but he used to be around dogs much more in the UK so I don't think it's helping him by not mingling.
Anyway, I'd better get off to work - I found a job within 3 weeks of moving here Skippy (& had to choose from 2) so there are some jobs out there!

Congratulations to you both Helen, the interest rate has gone down a bit & we've had a couple of perfect days, 20 deg & glorious, but the rain came back this morning, it was so heavy that it woke me up.
I can smell the cake cooking already, but settle in first eh.

If it tried that with our dog Rachel, she would eat him, ha ha, she's not a common bitch. they say dogs mirror their owners, so I would be a bit apprehensive about meeting Bernie.
Congratulations RVN!!!! Very, very happy for you - and maybe just a tad jealous.
I think you need to send your passports and the letter to Australia House to get the little yellow sticker put in, but that is only what I have gleaned from other posts on PIO.
