Talking areas around Gosford to live?

Hi. looking around gosford,oH is a senior support worker(aged and disabled) care with thirteen years experience, just wondering if there are any residential facilities around the gosford area. Can anyone tell me what the rental market is like around that area, coming out with about £100,00. Is that enough to start off with, looking at renting first to get established, is the schools around the area alright,as will be coming out with two kiddies aged 10 and 5. any info would be really appreciated, any poms living around the gosford area, please get in touch.

Hi

Yes there are lots of residential homes in and around Gosford - like Anglican Care - Amity Group - William Cape Gardens -
Catholic Healthcare - Headspace along with the councils and many many private companies here. There is always plenty of ads in the paper for care professionals wanted - i woudnt have thought there would be any problem getting work in this field here.

For property have a look at Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au there are so many areas around Gosford

I don't really know about schools as my daughter goes to Terrigal High School.

All in all the coast is a very nice place to live with beautiful beaches and surroundings.
The biggest shopping center on the coast is Erina Fair Erina Fair which is only a few mins by car from Gosford.

Hi that looks very promising, OH a engineer, hoping to be out there by sept/oct time.Just need to put the house on the market, wait for all the paperwork(all the boring bits)to go through. Did you settle on Terrigal right away, was it a hard decision to leave the uk,my mother cried for two days when i told her,and we havent even gone anywhere yet, leaving family will be the hard bit, especially my sister.

Hi
Long story but we settled in Terrigal as my hubby new he could get work here (he is english originally but has citizenship and lived here from 1994 except from when he came back to uk for 4 years to meet with me)
Yes it was very hard for me to leave the uk as i have left there 2 daugters almost 21 & 18 and only have one daughter aged almost 14 with me.Probably the hardest desicion i have ever had to make - as much as i love oz - i dont know if i would do it again
The heart strings tugg every day some days harder than others - i have been here 2 years this august and even though the time has gone very quick its still very very hard.
Feel free to pm me or ask anything
good luck

Hi again,
Please feel free to ask me anything - if i can help in any way regarding your move here to NSW i am happy too - there are several other pomsinoz that are here in NSW so im sure you will get lots of advice and answers,
(as regard leaving peeps behind in the uk - yes its hard but you take it one day at a time- not untill i was here in oz just how many emotions you can go through and how up & down you can feel - but guess you may find this out for yourself when you are here too) just have to remember to keep smiling and that we are lucky to have had the chance to come to such a wonderful country.

Talking

Suddenly i feel so much better, wanting a new life, that is better than the one we have here, have a good standard of life, but the way britain is going, want something better for the kids, want to look back and say we lived the dream, even if we fall on our face, want to look back and say at least we tried. want to give the kids a better chance in life, live up north, not many opportunites for the kids.over the last few weeks keep thinking more and more that we are doing the right thing, ideal time, the kids are the right age to make the transition.

Hi
Just wanted to say Hi, we too are going to that area as soon as the house sells. I have family on the Central coast and have been a few times and love it. Kids age 7 and 5 and they are so excited took them last September so they have an idea to where they are going.
I still get the wobbles and have been there 4 times but the hard bit is the emotional stuff with family and friends but I do feel it the right place for my kids to grow up. PM me we are up north too there is a meet up in April I think
