Living in Sydney Western /South West suburbs- Where is nice?
Hi, I'm new to this forum. My Husband, myself & our 2 boys are going out on a 457 visa (long stay business), late Dec. My Husband's job is in Campbelltown. What areas, within a 45 min drive, are nice, but affordable, areas to live in? I keep hearing bad & good things about places & needed some help from people that know. Thanks for all your help, Nicky
Campbelltown isn't a very nice area, the crime rate is pretty high. But if its just a work location then I'd suggest having a look at Sydney's coastal areas south of the Royal National Park. Try places like Bulli, Woonona, Thiroul, Fairy Meadow etc. Nice coast, fairly cheap housing, should be within 45 mins of driving.
South West Sydney tends to have quite a few social demographic issues, so your other alternative would be to head 45mins directly towards Sydney, which would probably put you in the region of Paramatta (but I'm no expert on 'the west') and of course if you did the latter you'd be going against the traffic.
