Parramatta & Suburbs

Can Anyone please help me with info on where to live. My husband has a job in Rydalmere so we are looking to rent in areas close by. Have looked in parramatta but they seem very expensive and very basic for the price. Can anyone please recomend areas that are within about half hour to an hour from rydalmere. And any other usefull info or websites would be greatley appriciated.

Hi Anita

Not sure where Rydalmere is but try Glenwood, Stanhope Gardens, Quakers Hill sort of areas, that is where we are looking at. Try Domin.com.au as they have good stuff on there to rent.

Jackie.

Thanks for the info, was told Rydalmere is just outside parramatta. Is it parramatta that you are moving to? If so have you found out any usefull info that you can pass on. Feeling very scared and excited at the same time about moving to the unknow so any info would be great.

Hi Anita

We are hoping to move in September and are staying with family in Auburn first off and then hoping to buy in the areas where hubbies cousin lives which is Glenwood and surrouning areas. Prices at the moment are on a parr with Perth which swung it for us as we have family to go to.

not having much luck on the job front at the moment, but it hopefully will be easier once we are out there and can be interviewed.

Rydalmere is immediately to the right of Parramatta, and on the north side of the river. From what I recall it has plenty of older style houses in the immediate area.

Going slightly north, you have Dundas, Carlingford and then North Rocks, Oh.. I remember North Rocks, some nice houses there, (I got married there in 1990 :D )

Those are the three areas I would be looking at, if I wanted to be in that location.

Go to http://www.whereis.com/whereis/directions.do
and put Rydalmere in NSW
and
North Rocks in NSW
to see the local area.

It shows 7.3km and 11 minutes travel time.

hi Anita,my wife,2 kid's and i moved to sydney last november and have just bought a house/land package just south of paramatta.if you are looking to rent look futher down the river as you can always get to Rydalmere via the ferry so don't restrict yourself to one area as there can be a big difference in rent, hope this is of some help.
