Sydney: Wanted: Some help/advice for plumbing bathroom renovation: Paid work.

Hi everyone

We've just bought a cottage at Warragamba in Sydney's far west and are looking to do some plumbing and bathroom renovation.

It's a very small bathroom and we've been getting silly quotes for a renovation.

So we've decided to do most of the work ourselves but want to be supervised by a tradesperson or someone who knows what they're doing.

We'll be buying all the new inclusions and fittings ourselves, just need some advice when it comes to installation.

We will pay the appropriate person for their advice, skills and time.

Time frame: Within the next four weeks.

My fella has fitted the bathroom in our UK home, he works Mon-Fri but can come down this weekend to advise you if thats any good?

Make sure you understand the regulations on what work has to be carried out by licensed plumbers and electricians (or under the immediate supervision of one, which may cover what you are talking about but usually means a helper/apprentice). They're pretty restrictive

I think it is still best if you should find a plumber to do the installation, you can find one through the internet or ask someone who could refer you to a plumber so you could get a good one with a fair quote, so you will not worry anymore
