Hi there,

My name is Keith Powell. When I was a small boy we lived in Australia, and I have seen one of the places we lived on Google Street view.
I now live in Liverpool after having moved back here when my Mum was worries about health care. That was then, although I think I was was loving it as akid, that I can remember. :)

The address is 120-122 Beach Road Parkdale. They used to be called the 'jess-court flats' but I am sure they are not that now. We lived in Flat 5. which was second from the end and the right hand side as you walked up the middle on the botton row.

I am asking if anyone lives near the Flats/Apartments, that could maybe post a pic or 2 for my sister and I. We have some from around the 1960's, that show a very different outlook. I would be very grateful.

Hi Keith, I too lived in Oz when I was small and managed to find my address (144 Gladstone Road) on Google Maps and could do a virtual tour of the road and look at all the houses.

Luckily my son went there last month for a holiday and went to the house and took loads of photos for me. I really hope someone does that for you its amazing the amount of memories that come back when you actually look at the pictures.

Thank you. Yes I do hope so too.

I think of it as an amazing time and one I would love to go a do again sometime, even just for a visit.

I will make it a goal in the next few yrs. I would like to know if the work bing done on the apartments is to improve them. I hope so.

Hey Bobj, Thank you. I had seen this on google street view aswell but nice to know you did that.

I am sort of looking for a pic that show more of the interior of the flats as the street view doesnt show it clearly. The weather changed on that day I think??

If you check out my album, I have posted what the flats looked like in the early 60's, alas there are only about 3 views I can find at this time. :(

I will keep on hopeing that somone out there can stop by and take some more.... :)
