You have taken this completely out of context. I am in no way comparing what I am experiencing with that of those who have lost a loved one our that themselves facing a terminal illness. I do thank my blessings more than you know and I am grateful for everyday I have with my family so please do not dare to think am not appreciative of this or that I have no compassion for those that don't have that opportunity.
It was a lighthearted topic of conversation and I am sorry you felt the need to change the mood of it.

dont listen to em emmaroo...this is a very narrow minded person who has put this. I know after reading all your posts that you would never mean anything like that, i wish you the very best of luck with your move, keep marking the days off, you will get there in the end

Thank you. I was really upset after reading that post.

.......when I read a thread........I imagine each post and the person saying it............and truly feel that no one would assume you would be anything than the wonderful person that comes across.........as I 've said before .......words are so inadequate sometimes on their own and an innocent post can come across not at all in the way it was meant.........enjoy your last few months and lots of luck and happiness for your journey ahead.....tink x.............don't know why it's gone small....".hope it can still be read..!

Jumping to Emma's defense here; not that she needs it shes tough and Scottish.
That having been said, I have to take umbrage at your suggestion that she is ungrateful. That must be as far from the truth-you only have to look at her 'likes' to see people have agreed in some way with her postings. As for what Emma has written, her postings are as honest, forthright, comical and sincere as any and certainly warrant respect for that alone. In no way, does she elicit the 'poor old me' or 'feel sorry for me' tone that you have undertaken to assume - it is not her way.
This is a public forum and one that does IMO a great deal of good for 99% of the time for all of us transplants. The relevance of your remarks have been noted and have been how can I say as off the mark as they could possibly be, perhaps you misinterpreted her statement, but i would suggest you ask her for before making derogatory suggestions and in no way are your remarks warranted.
I believe you have completely misunderstood her and an apology is without question the least you should offer, regardless as to whether it is a public forum or not. I believe you have taken out of context and failed to see the satirical side of the situation. This is someone who deserves to be treated politely and not in a manner that associates her with a tragic incident that has absolutely no relevance to her situation.

Then why don't you re read the first sentence..."Just wake up every day and count your blessings..."
If that isn't a clear statement that she ought to be grateful what is!
Enough said about that, and frankly if Skani and your good self had read you would know she is looking forward to going home, perhaps therein lies the point dont pass judgement on something you are ill equipped to make a comment about, in this case not knowing all of the facts and rushing to judgement, lest you make an assumption on something without knowing the facts at hand. Emma has clearly stated she is excited repeatedly about going home to Edinburgh.
