You don't know what you got till its gone! Luckily for you Emma, its not gone just a few thousand kms away. Lifes journey, never a dull moment and nothing to regret, you have that personal growth to thank Australia for! Best of luck for your return

Dull is certainly not how I would describe my time here Fiona! Like you say though I haven't lost "home" I just lost my way for a little while but I'm back on track and looking forward to the next installment!

We had an Aunty who lived in Edinburgh all her life and she lived in one of those sort of tenement type buildings with stone steps all the way up and she lived in this tiny wee flat. They had no children. She hated it when she came to visit in the country, she loved here concrete jungle and the area she lived in. Horses for courses.

I am not downing Australia but it has not been what I thought it would be like for a number of reasons, the main one being me thinking that all I felt in Edinburgh would disappear and of course they haven't as what I was trying to escape was me!Now that I have realized & acknowledged this I am making the changes and it has given me the ability to see just how lucky I am to come from a beautiful country like Scotland and call Edinburgh home. I have changed as a person too and I am so excited now to go back to my beautiful home town of Edinburgh and really start enjoying it and enjoying me again!
Good Luck to all going home

lurvly post. Will be even better when you get "home" I am sure. Having returned ourselves nearly 8 mths ago, I still drive around & feel so happy to be home. I moaned & winged about the Uk before I left 10 yrs ago but now I am back, looking through it with a new appreciation. Strangely feel safe & contented. Good luck with your next chapter for you.

How long did you live in Aus for? & where abouts? Did you try another state, or just knew you wanted to be back in the Uk? (sorry for all the questions!!!)
