Another Pom leaving Oz and heading home

Lovely post, wishing you a quick sale and a wonderful new life with your family, like you said your mum is getting older if id known 4 yrs ago that my parents wouldnt be with me i think i wouldve waited a little longer to come to Oz xx

Thank you for expressing your thoughts. I'm at that point now after 13.5 years here after getting increasingly more homesick over the last 3-4 years. Everything you've written hit home with me and it's nice to know I am not alone!

Best Wishes for your return to the UK, I have spent several thousands of pounds travelling back to the UK every 3 months since having been here for just over 2 years, I can fully understand your feelings.

For some of us the one thing you can never change is your love of home, family and the need for a sense of belonging, for some this comes easily for others, we will always return to our roots.

You're not alone, homesickness is the worst. Do you think you will move back or work through it?

suesk...I was the same, originally I had thought my parents wold join me out here, it's not to be. The thought of never living near them again is too sad.

Black Country lad...thank you. I think that's exactly right, some can cope with the distance from family and home, others (me) simply cannot.
