Money transfers explained

Hi John,
I have just applied for an account with NAB before leaving the UK. We are flying on aug 13th. Assuming that I receive an email with an account no. Etc. before we leave, is it possible to open a money transfer account and transfer money over before we go- ie before I have activated the account with NAB in oz?

i can't answer on time scales, but yes you can put funds in to your NAB account before its activated, activation would need to be made to draw it out. Hopefully John can answer your other questions when he is back in the office Monday

You can arrange your money transfer(s) ahead of moving to Australia.

I am not sure if you have already done so, however you can register for your Moneycorp account online by clicking this link.

Moving back to the uk and need to transfer some money.
Moneycorp provide you with all the details to transfer AUD funds IBAN & SWIFT but NAB need a BPay, Biller code or BSB. An International transfer will cost me $22.
Any help would be appreciated,

hi john I transfered money over from uk to a nab account.got charged 111 pound.6weeks later had to send some money to wife for bills etc. got charged 22 pounds. thats ok fair enough but also got charged 111pounds again.
I would just like to no were the 111 pounds is going to.uk bank or nab.

Hi John,

I have been using Moneycorp for over a year now to transfer AUD to GBP from my NAB account & shortly after each transfer I get a charge of around $11 from a UK bank, recently you guys have changed to Barclays & I'm shocked to see on my NAB statement the charge is now around $47!!! Will this always be the case? As I'm not prepared to pay that amount every fortnight!
