Is there a set figure of funds that you need to have to emigrate or minimum amount.

hi ya, dont think there is a set amount! just what you can bring,
everybody is different, and some people need more money than others!

When I came out on a working holiday visa a few years ago, I needed a minimum £2,000 I think and a return air ticket. I think this was to show you had a means of leaving the country. I had to provide bank statements to prove it.

When I applied for 457 visa this issue was never raised and know of others who have arrived with hundreds rather than thousands of pounds.

we, are west of brisbane, about 40 mins from the cbd, but far enough to get away from it all! lovely and quiet here, good schools, shops etc
