Uni Fees on PR Visa - school fees on a 457

We're 1 year into a PR visa and plan to get citizenship next May. My daughter wants to go to Uni next January and I've heard that as she's on a PR visa she'll be loaded for course fees the same as an overseas student.

Anyone any experience of this?

I'm already annoyed that I had to pay high school fees for my 3 kids to go to state school while I was on the 457 - didn't know about that until I got here. Where does my tax go again?
