How much money will i need?

hi, me and a mate are are hopefully moving to oz in the next yr but i have no idea how much money i will need to settle down, we both are plumbers in england so hopefully getting a job out there wont be hard. the main problem is that we are only 19 and hardly have any money at all. Can anybody recommend a good way to start saving. Thanks

Put as much as you can away from your wage if you're earning, cut down on nights out and ask for money instead of birthday pressies!. It may not feel like much at the time but it'll all add up and it'll be worth it when you get to Aus.

yeah just keep saving! try using high interest savings accounts or even a managed fund.

Keep in mind 1.00 GBP = 2.49492 AUD, so the pound goes very far here in Aus!

Regards,
Jim

Open an internet account with ING. They are paying 6% interest on anything you put in from now until a date in August. You can transfer money yourself from your bank account which makes it easy.

Sorry, know this has nothing to do with Oz, but admire any 19 year old who can think of saving!! Best of luck
