What bank to go with?
Hi looking for some advice on banking. What banks would you say are best bank to bank with? I'm thinking ANZ or NAB, all help and advice will be gratefully received .

I've opened an account with NAB before I've moved out and it was painless and took less than a day for them to get back to me.
However, when getting a quote from a shipper recently he told me that apparently if you get an ANZ account they have a deal with Emirates to give you a 50kg baggage allowance. I've not verified this for myself though, but worth checking out.

It's the same deal with NAB and Moneycorp, plus you don't have to pay the monthly fees on the NAB account like you do on the ANZ

We use NAB, there are plenty of ATM's and customer service is brilliant..

Is there a link for this? I have already booked flights with emirates but if I can get up to 50kg per person, that would be great
And it would make my bank choice easier .
thanks

Sorry just checked on the Moneycorp and it's with Quantas, it's cheaper flights and 40kg allowance

We opened an account with commonwealth online while in the UK. Easy, hassle free and no charges

Just check on that as NAB is the only one who don't charge account fees full stop. The others afaik you have to pay in a minimum of a couple of thousand every month.
