How much to spend on rent?

Hi all, Just trying to get a feel on renting and how much to spend to rent a wk and live comfortable. If i was taking home about $875 a wk how much would you spend on renting a week?

Dont they reckon that 30% of your income is an OK amount to be paying? In which case you might be struggling - all depending on where you are, of course, what sort of house, how many people etc. If you were in Canberra you would need to be forking out between 400 and 500 for a family home

There 3 of use and were gonna be in queensland some where from bundaberg to townsville.Just waiting on Coates hire getting back to me on exactly where. Just looking on a ruff guide really.

Best to use the 1/3 rd of your income rule... and try to stick to it no matter how wonderful the property you look at is...
