South Australia State Sponsorship - Any news?

      Hello,
My application for State Sponsorship was received by South Australia in March. Before all these delays began. In July I received an email asking I still wanted to proceed - to which I replied yes. On 11th August there was an email saying that despite waiting for SMPs to be signed off by immigration minister SA would continue processing completed application and that we would have a success or failure email within and envisaged time of 6 weeks. It will be 6 weeks on Wednesday and I haven't heard a peep since.
Is there anybody else in the same boat? Does anybody know if there are still processing them?? Should I be worried???
A few weeks after the email I did see a few success stories pop up on here and their applications were in after mine. I assumed because their lines of work were more in demand but now I'm worried I am not wanted at all.
      Thank you, Lauren

      They are really strange,
I did not receive any email on 11 Aug . So, I emailed them and they replied If I have not received any email it means that my application will not be processed
I was disappointed and applied for QLD and received my SS in 2 days and lodged my 176 visa
on 02 Sep I received SS from SA !!!!!!
I suggest you to email them and ask about your application, I heard many others like me who received their SS form SA.
All in all, SA does not seem to be a disciplined immigration team

      Hi Agnes,
My occupation is Electronics Engineer.I got assessment from previous ASCO code. And its also related to Telecom Engineer/Telecom network planner which is now on this list. I think I can still be in Cat 2 when SMP come effect according to transitional occupation.
that's what I am thinking now. Any idea??
      Regards,
      Notun

my idea is in the absense of smp, those being sponsored and in new SOL list will be categorised as CAT 2.

is your Electronic Engineer code same as Telecom Engineer/Telecom network? Anyway if you are in SOL list u should be in Cat 2.

      Hi Agnes

      This is not quite correct.

At the moment, Cat 2 exists but no visa applicants have been moved up to Cat 2 because the SMPs have not been published as yet.

All the people whose occupations are in the new SOL are in Cat 3 for the time being. DIAC are processing some of the Cat 3 applications at present, pending publication of the SMPs and people moving up to Cat 2.

      Cheers

      Gill
