But the thing is I've so much to do once I get my application finalized as me any my partner have to book flight as we r planning to get married maybe in December(assuming everything will be done within this month or latest by 15 Oct, for any delays like her Meds dates)

So have to plan everything for marriage, guests, and what not!
It's never ending though. So I'd suggest just keep hanging on to it and it's just the countdown for everyone rather than endless wait :spinny:
congrats mate ... marriages/honeymoons can also be quite an expensive affair as I found out a few months ago, worth it though !!

      Hello br4t,

I have the same time line as you and still waiting for CO.I sent my ACS on 8/08/2011. they updated my application to Category 4 on 16/08/2011. Waiting with lots of patient. It is nearly 6-7 weeks now. No reply still. Getting bit impatient.

I have called up DIAC 3-4 times. They always say 6 more weeks. Last time , I called them about a week ago, the operator said she can only see same things as we see them online from our side. She said she has no idea about CO allocation.

br4t, I think you should go ahead and just book your flights and everything. If you haven't got your PR by then, you can always apply for a bridging visa b. Before I got bumped up to Cat 4, I applied for a bridging visa b cause i needed to do some travelling for work and leisure and was given a 1 year BVB visa. I was surprised and asked does that mean I can stay out or travel in/out of Australia for a year and the lady who approved my visa said yes. She said, the only requirement was if they make a decision to grant my visa while i'm not in the country, I am given 28 days to land on Australian soil to accept the grant. So long as i show up at the airport and go through immigration, my grant will go into effect right away.

Yeah buddy I can get BVB, but not my partner as she already had bridging visa when i included her in my application.
So there is this bit, that she cannot get BVB due to she didn't had substantive visa at the time of inclusion on to this 885.
So I have BVA and she has BVC where she cannot travel outside australia until application is not decided.

Hence, I have to wait for application to be decided. Life is complex isn't it :P
