2231-79 Computing Professional (ICT Recent Graduate) and the new priority

Hey guys,

Just a quick question, for applying 309 and 100 visa for my wife which is a partner visa, do i have to submit two Australian citizen's passport copies to show that these people knew me here in Australia. Is it necessary or is there any other alternative.

Hi SSgill,

I did call them next day after uploading my reviewd acs and operator changed the priority same time.
I am not sure how it works but calling them would not cause any damage.

Hi Guys,

Do you think its a good idea to apply for overseas Police clearance before the case officer gets assigned ? I have got successfully re-assessed as Systems Analyst and my agent has uploaded the docs.As per the previous cases, it seems like it takes 2 weeks before they would move my file to priority4 and then 6 more weeks til the case officer gets assigned.
I have heard in recent times it takes 30-45 days for the Overseas police clearance so i was wondering if should i apply it now itself so by the time my case officer gets assigned it wont take much time for the police clearance.?my agent suggestion is to wait for the case officer to be assigned. I am in a dilemma.Please help?

I'd say if you can or u want to spend extra it's good to get PCC done but having said that, usually CO will ask for PCC if you did travel overseas during the time of your application been decided for the grant.

yeah i thought too that CO would be asking me for the PCC as i have been overseas couple of times. but my agent told me that sometimes the case officers would ask for the Police clearance right from the date they requested it if its been expired.I don't know if that makes sense.i did my police clearance in 2008 that's when i applied for my TR.so obviously its long time due.

Yeah it's true that it depends on CO as well. Sometimes they won't ask for fresh docs even they have expired since couple of years.
That's what I said, if u can spend Extra regardless of if that doc is used later or not :-)

i do not know about these visas. But i think it is necessary and you should do that.
