Red face New polciy on Community Welfare student

      Hi, my name is Ben,
I am quite frustrated by the new policy. I m going to graduate this mid of June, but the policy will be effective from 1st of July. that means because of the time needed before qualified as a welfare worker, I can not apply for PR , i wish i had only a month then, i could do something.
So one way i can think of is, if i apply for pr, before 1st July, only with reference number of the application for skilled assesment, and submit it soon after, do you guys think it's acceptable? if not, i can't get refund can i ?

      Hi Ben,
I am in the exact same position as you. I graduate, with a TAFE Diploma in Community Welfare in a couple of weeks. This leaves no time to apply for and receive a positive skills assessment back from AIWCW who are taking at least 10 weeks to process.
Also if the Certificate of Enrollment states that the official course end date is 02/07/10 i am assuming it will be too late to avoid the July 1st changes anyway. Great timing to say the least!!!!!!!

If i am not mistaken, you have 28 days to upload all the documents from the date of application lodged... not too sure if you have the time frame for such application...added to the fact the new SOL list is out... do check if you occupation is on the current list...:
