Could you clear on this.
Yes you are right, once you have the 856 PR then they have no restrictions or conditions on you regardless of what was arranged in the previous 457. We are on our 2nd 457, the first one was only for 12 months , our new one is for 4 years, we have only had it 6 months and we are now in the middle of processing our 856.

true , i agree but a dentist friend of mine got a 856 after being 2 years on 457 the new contract read , if he were to quit he had to give 6 months of notice before quitting(previous contract read 2 months notice, and he could not practice around 70kms of the same practice for 3 years , 50 for the next 2 and 25 for the next 1 year)the employer put in this because
my friend knew almost 90% of patients there and had a good will...
all said and done , i am saying the experience from my field but every field has its own ups and downs , somebody in this forum suggested me that i read the contract loud till it sinks in ur head and use a highlighter to mark what i dint like.....i did it and am happy about the advice...
so beaware of aussie employers they are not that kind as they are back home.....

After my third email to nsw.pse over the past month, I received a response today letting me know that I have a case officer. They gave me his name and let me know that my application is in Parramatta.
I don't know anything yet about my nomination, I am assuming they are being processed together.
There is no telling how much longer now, but there is at last a light at the end of the tunnel!
856 - Both nomination and application lodged in Parramatta on 08/09/2010 using MA, but pre-DRC.
Occupation: Specialist Manager (nec)
Police checks and meds lodged with application, but now expired
Here's to hoping it all happens quick now.

Hi,
Just wondering if you could lodge ENS 856 visa online? My agent suggest it has to be applied offline i.e paper lodgment.
Also, how long does it take to get an acknowledgment letter containing TRN for paper based application?
Any idea?
Cheers,
Ashish

I just checked the spreadsheet and it has your grant date as 21/02/2011.
Have you been granted a visa?

Nope. But yes onshore applicants do get allocated to case office faster than offshore applicants, but its not always the case. I think the DRC thingy made his application allocated to case officer.
