Desperate to get out there

Hi,
I have currently applied for a SS 475 visa and now been told have to wait until 2012 to maybe get looked at,. This is really upsetting, is there any other possible way to get out there?

I am an Office Manager 29, my partner a Telecomms engineer for BT 29.
We cannot find a way to get to Oz, without having to wait.

Is there anything else I can do? Maybe change career? Not sure what though,

I have tried to see about employer sponsor but all jobs say you have to have residency before applying for any position.

It is very depressing, when we are so determined to move to Australia.

Any help/advice is most most welcome.

I don't think you'll really have to wait untill 2012. SS visas are currently in the process so if nothing changes you may have it the next financial year (july 10- june 11). But, we're waiting for major changes day by day now.

If you are so desperate for coming into Aus you may apply for student visa.

or take a boat, sail to Aus shores, and just ask for help. I bet it's going to be the easiest way. (if you're new it's a joke)

I understand your desperation as we feel exactly the same. Some days I spend hours searching for another way to avoid the wait. My husbands whole family is out there so he just wants to be with them ASAP. We have applied for the 175 in May 2009 (non CSL/MODL) can't get any SS as I'm a Primary School Teacher so in for a long wait. I sit hoping and praying that there may be some good news but so far cannot see light at the end of the tunnel. Lets see what destiny has instore for us, if it's meant to be we will make it there one day.

Take a look at the timelines on Tasha's Cat 5 thread - it says 176 Visas but it includes 475's as well

At the top of page 1 you will see some 475's have been granted recently.

Come join us and you can vent your frustrations!!
