how long it takes to get 176 visa

i just got WA SS and applied for 1100 form .. does anyone have any idea on how long it takes to get the approval of the visa.. so that i can prepare for migration to Aussie.

Wouldn't make any plans for a while yet. We applied for a 175 in Oct'08. Changed to 176 last month & we have told it may well be 2012. Hopefully we will be in front of those that have only just applied!

Of course things could all change & it may be sooner than 2012 (could also go the other way) 'preparing' is the last thing on our minds. Just going to sit back & see what happens.

If they only just have SS then surely they won't have a CO? unless it is luck & they are pulling apps out of a hat. Which I am sure it isn't the case.

Your earlier threads show that you are a Toolmaker and that you completed your meds and police checks in March 2009. Did you frontload these or did a Case Officer ask you to do them, please?

Are you aware of the changes to the processing priorities rules which were introduced on 23rd September 2009?

If a CO requested your meds and police checks then your application might now progress swiftly, but if you frontloaded those without a CO's request then you could be in for a substantial wait, I am afraid.

@Gollywobbler : Previosly i had applied for !75 then got Co .. he already requested for Medical Police Check and additional documents.. then suddenly the rules change and my application stuck.. then i applied for WA SS.. i just got approved it.. and filled the form 1100 ... just hoping for the best...
