      175 Application - document question

Hi all, my first question here:

I fired off my 175 application online last Friday, I'm now in the process of sorting through all the required documents and certification. My questions are:

      - I know I can scan and attach the digital document copy (plus the scanned certification) to the online app. But do I still need to post these documents (physical paper copies) to Australia? I'm a buit surprised if they don't require the paper copy - digital copies are easier to fortify surely?

      - What's the time limit for submitting the digital copies? (I gathered it 28 days after filing the application, want to confirm this). Do they usually get annoyed if the dicuments are not ready straight away? (I'm waiting for some oversea's docs)

      - The required document section indicates I need the medical documents -I thought this comes after they review other documents? Is it a special case to request medical with the inital set of documents?

      Thanks in advance!

Hi, you do not need to send any documents if you are scanning the originals unless they request so. I think the 28 day time frame for submitting them is right. If you are waiting for some evidence to arrive you can notify the department of this and scan evidence of you requesting it from the relevent organisation such as a reciept or a file number etc. As for the medicals you can front load them as they are requested after the inital application has gone through however some people wait untill their case officer requests them incase there is a delay because they are only valid for 1 year and are very expensive. The time frame you get to validate your visa once it is granted is 1 year from your police check and meds. I front loaded my police checks and medicals and am now in the position of having my visa granted but have only been given 4 months to get myself out there to validate it. Make sure you take this into account because I didnt!! Good luck.xx

Thanks for answer my question, it's good to know despite listing the forms e160EH and e26H as required on the document checklist, I don't have to do it straight away.
