Statement of Service
Hello All,
I've done a search for statement of service posts (I think that's what there called?) but couldn't find anything. The question is are most ex employess happy to provide these statements as they would appear to be fairly time consuming to produce. Also should I provide the employee with some guidence on what's required or just let them get on with it.
I'm just trying to find out as much information as possible on these statements before I contact my ex employee for them.
Thanks

Hello Unwell Cat
Welcome to Poms in Oz.
Please could you be more specific? Are you an Aussie employer looking to help somebody you want to employ to obtain a visa for Oz?
Many thanks
Gill

Hi Nicky
You draft the statements of service - to within an inch of their lives. All that you want the employers to do is to print them onto headed paper, sign and date them, keep a copy and send the originals to you.
Cheers

Hi
My other half is a joiner and i had to write out/type out 7 reference of all the companies were he has worked since he left school. Then went round all the companines asked them to read and check, print them on letterhead paper, sign and attached a business card with contact details of the person who signed the reference.
This is very stressful and lots of hard work, having to detailing everything you do in the jobs, product and equipment used and how you went about doing your job.
Each of our references was about 4 pages long...this was as per our agent.
It was thats stressful my fella got shingles thru it all.
Good luck with everything...will be hard but worth it in the long run.
Any questions just ask people will try there hardest to help you on here.
Thanks Lindsey

I agree totally with gollywobbler, when i did my statement of service i printed it out on headed paper and got my line manager to sign it, a note of caution though is to make sure when u are gettin it witnessed make sure the witness signed it in a part of the document that could not be misconstrued as a photocopy of the signed doc. they can be fussy and it can lead to delays
