Personal Statements 47SP

Hi, I'm about to send off my 47 SP defacto visa and wondered if anyone has a view on personal statements - it says to be handwritten by both of us stating relationship history etc - do they expect them to be different ? can you type bullet points and date and sign the bottom ? My wife is an australian citizen and we are expecting our 1st so want to get this right for a speedy process -I am front loading meds and police checks and form 80. Thanks anyone/everyone

I briefly went down this route but in the end, was sponsored by an employer. But I would say that (as requested) they should be hand written, and one from each of you. i.e not "We met each other" but rather " I met Joe while on holiday etc" and "I met Sam while on holiday etc". Obviously as you can see they may end up very similar, but just relax and write as if you were telling an old friend just how you met, and how things developed, maybe what difficulties you had to overcome, holidays you spent together, joint friends etc etc.

we wrote ours out putting in as much info as possible. I wouldnt do it in bullet points, try and get as much info across as possible, its a good chance to prove your relationship with a personal side of things, if that makes sense! Mine ended up being about 6 pages Other halfs was 4 pages (5 yrs together) theres no rule as to how long they have to be.
