Question Spouse Visa (OffShore) - Personal Statements

      Hi guys,

Just quick question on personal statements myself and my partner need to do about our relationship - do they need to be witnessed in the same way as the statutory declarations or do we just need to sign them?

      Thanks
      S

      No, you don't need to.
Both of you need to write the statement SEPARATELY and just sign on it.

My fren was requested by DIAC to provide photos and document to support her relationship.
She ended up with holiday receipts/invoice from the hotel with their name on it.

Thanks. We've given lots of proof of the relationship, things like mortgage docs, shared bills and bank accounts, copies of travel documents with our names on them, share insurance policies, etc. Hopefully that's enough, or should we include some photos too? We're married so we've also included certified copies of our marriage certifcate, change of name deeds etc.

If you are married, the process will definitely be a lot easier.

I'd include a couple of photos just to show the "human" side of your relationship. I just printed out 2 pages of photos from my computer - nothing too hard. Perhaps a nice photo from your wedding?

Hi guys, thanks for your reply. Yep, I think we'll def put a couple of pages of photos in just to make sure. Your visa was granted really quick, that's great, when are you heading off?
