Very Important Information on Migration with Children to Australia

Please Please remember once you set foot in Australia with your children or bump wether you have a temporary visa or permanent visa if your relationship breaksdown in Australia you can not take your children back home to the UK unless both parents agree. Check out The Hague Convention Laws which states the children have to remain in the country of residence at that time unless both parents agree otherwise which would be Australia . This information is not given on the migration forms and once your in OZ its too late there is no going back with your children unless BOTH parents agree. I know we dont like to think of the worst but if your relationship for what ever reason affair etc and the relationship breaksdown you could be left in a country with no help and support , no home and no money and no family and friends . Dont think that because you were all born in the uk and that you all have uk passports that you can just take your child back home to the UK. I hope that no one is placed in this position but I also know too many who have. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER....If you return home to the UK with your child without the consent of the other parent you will be charged for child abduction and will have to attend the High court in London and you will be made to return the child back to Australia wether you come back to OZ or not.....So think long and hard .....
