Will New Zealand Follow Australia in cutting Visas

With the blow of other half loosing his job this week it is not good news that as a metal fitter I will no longer be on the CSL list. things can't get much worse. Thinking out loud will New Zealand follow what Aus has done because if I can't go to Australia then I would be happy to go to New Zealand.

do they have the same rules

do you still need trade recognition

I have lived in New Zealand and have relatives who migrated there too. They are very happy there.

just looked at the NZ goverment site and my skills are in demand and my qualifications are on the NZ list of recognised qualifications. their might be a small candle burning at the end of that tunnel. just going to email my agent and see if I can swap to new zealand, My best friend lives their so why shouldn't I go there she has lived their for 15 years and she loves it.
