I think mine is only about 2... and the OH's is about the same. Both of us are scientists and not great at waffle... my main worry is that we're both going to come across as too factual and unemotional!

I did stick in his plans for our childrens names though... Melvin Primus and Melvin Secundus (MELissa & steVEN) so hopefully they'll have a laugh over that...

We are in similar situation - we have opened up a joint savings account (putting money in for Oz) and a joint bank account to have direct debit bills from. We have sent letters to all utility bill companies asking them to put bills into joint names and change d/d details - nothing too strenous, standard letter and posted. We have then set up a standing order from our individual accounts to go into joint to cover bills (our salaries still go in our own). I have a mortgage in my name (rent this house out) and he has a mortgage in his so we have no 'joint' property but council tax is in joint names.

Furball i lodge my application to today and we inculded photos phone records wedding invation which we sent out any returns Phone records going back the 18months we been together 3 888 forms with excellent references i must say and i must say we been through so much since i been here and we dealt with it so well in the difficult finance climate and the biggest thing is me being a dad to a 12 year old not the easiest thing in the world. I thnk you be fine

Hi all.... sorry to say this but I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one suffering!!!

My situation is a little tricky though as we live together in Dubai and as per the local rules here you are not allowed to live together unelss you are married..... this means we have no rent agreement or any bills in a joint name!!!!!

i have given them tickets, phone bills, photo's (although he has an issue with smiling so looks like he hates being with me!!!!), statements from everybody and their dog and now i'm just hoping for the best!!!!

Also how long has everyone else been waiting for their defacto visa and how long have you been told it's going to take? i've been waiting nearly 9 months already and told it could take up to 12.
