Need help with drink drive charge

Have submitted all our medicals and police checks but OH,s police check came back as case pending. He was stopped and breathalised on Sat 16th Aug. Gave blood because reading was borderline. Didn,t hear anything, thought he was ok. Got police check done and it has case pending for DD charge. We won,t be granted any visa until the outcome of the case is decided. Does anyone know how long we will have to wait ?
I thought these kind of charges were dealt with quickly.

My 1st post on here, usually post on Poms in Adelaide, saw your post and have had some experience of this, my OH has a DD charge from years ago, he was only slightly over which does not make it any acceptable but a woman drove into him and of he course he was done for dangerous driving with it. It took about ten months to come to court.

You should maybe speak to a solicitor about it and also look about character reference for court. If it is his first offence they may not go too hard on him. We are in northern Ireland and I know there is a course they offer people here some sort of safer driver course and if they take it they get a bit knocked of.

It's worrying, I am not that happy about the police records end of things for us but I declared on the application as best to be honest from the start.

Thank thats a big help. As i said he was marginally over so was required to give blood to get a proper reading and it is his first encounter with the law so maybe he will be given a lighter fine. We will speak to a lawyer to see if we can speed things up. Thanks again.
