Adding a dependent to 457 visa

Morning,

My husband and I are currently on a 457 visa applying for pr using an agent. We had a baby 4 months ago now and need to add her onto our visa.

When we went to England shortly after she was born we couldn't get the visa sorted in time, so she is currently on an ETA. Getting her added onto our visa is a nightmare, keep getting told different things by the Canberra office.

Should I just get the agent to do it for us, as it is so confusing. I have to complete the 1066 form with her as the primary applicant, can't answer half the questions when they are a baby.

Has anyone else had to do this? Please help, my husband is getting very worried about it. Thank you.

Hi,

We have been told to complete the form 1066 and submit that with a copy of her blue book (developmental pages, identity pages, growth charts) letter from employer saying they will extend the sponsorship to baby, copies of both our passports and visa.

They send it to the Sydney office (in our case) and take it from there. Hopefully no problem as we can't apply for PR until she is added onto our 457.

Does your baby have their British passport yet? They will need to send that and a copy of her birth certificate along with their application.

We are going to use our immigration agent to process her visa app. because it has to be easier. If you want me to advise after that, happy to.
