Online 175 visa.....January....!!....xxx

Hi Guys.....

We applied in January this year online with an agent.....we still have not received our visa. Back in January...we got an email off our agents...requesting us to get our medicals and police checks done asap...I think it was within 28 days....otherwise it would hold up our visa...!!....

firstly....are there any other Jan 175 onlines still waiting....?
As we were instructed to do our medicals straight away...we assumed we had a case officer....but this was obviously not the case....and now feel that we were told to get them done too early.....???...as I think we have to validate January...!...which as the housing market has crashed.....an expense we could have done with out....If we had done our meds and police checks in may....we would have had longer to validate....!

i have contacted our agent...and keep being told that this is normal.....??

should I be worried...?.....

And now I have moaned about the visa not being here....I bet it turns up ...!!....

well i too really dnt have an idea as to why such a hurry if no case officer was alloted to u....but i just pray tht u get ur visa asap now... is it tht if u have done ur medicals and have no visa in hand ...u have to valiate it??? or is it tht if it expires , we need to re do it??

cud u throw light on this??

Hi hun,
No idea bout the 175 sorry, but it does seem a very long time. I would keep pestering your CO/agent and make a right pain of yourself after all you've paid the money now you want your visa! Or at the very least an explanation for the delay. Think you need to keep chasing it yourself.

Hi, we applied in January online too. We did medicals striaghtaway and got visa in July. If I were you I would get onto DIAC myself and start asking some questions. I am sure you should have heard something by now.

Either that or give your agent a good kick up the jacksy!

If your application was done online then your agent should have given you the details of how to check online to see where DIAC are at with your application. Did you get this information? If so do any/all your documents say received? Can you say who your agent is?
You should be complaining bitterly to your agent about their lack of professionalism!

Personally I would request they contribute substantially for you to re-do your meds and PCC's so you get longer to validate.

Let us know how you get on with chasing DIAC.

Hi Tracey......Our agents are ASA...Australia-migration. We paid for our visa in full june 2007......when we started the TRA process. We have never been given any details regarding checking our details. I did once ask for our TRN number....think this is what it is called....saw someone mention it on here..!!.....and they just said that all was ok...and the wait is normal....

also as we did our meds and police checks in jan...the police checks we did...are they still valid...??....think I saw someone on here discussing the new forms...??....

i think i need a back bone.....!!....

Hi Lui

Ours was submitted online 12th Dec 07 and granted 9th Oct, so you are about right, but.......we gave up on our Agent and rung Adelaide direct ourselves and got it granted the next day. We just spoke really nicely to them and asked them if they could please look into it.

We had our TRN number and Passport Number and asked them to pass a message to our Case Officer.

Our Agent didn't want to know once they had our money. We actually told them when it had arrived!

Do you check your status online? Where are you at? (Your Agent should give you your TRN Number for you to check).
