2LikesHi All,
My husband has been offered a job in Perth, and the employer has said he will sponsor us all to go over, which is fab, I was just wondering how the process works, he has said it will mainly be done from his end, does anyone have any idea of time scale, and what info we have to submit? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Most companies will use a 457 visa to sponsor their employees, it is usually the 4 year temporary visa that is used. Your company, if willing, can sponsor you for permanent residency after 2 years, and then if you wish after that you may apply for citizenship.
We came out on a 457 and we started the process in Easter. We've been here 5 weeks now. The dept of immigration website is great for reading up on this visa option. We started our visa process at Easter, we went for our medicals in June and got our visas granted at the beginning of August.

Glad i found this thread as i have just been told i could apply for this type of visa but i was wondering if it is only certain companies that sponsor or do most companies consider??
How do you start the process??
