Has anyone had a visa passed in 8-9months.

Hi,
I am a senior cancer nurse and have several job offers in Perth. I am 32yrs, married to a engineer and have 2 small children. We recently assigned an agent to do our visas and he said that they would take around 8 - 10 months. But everywhere that I look, it states that visas have taken at least 12months! Has anyone had a visa pass in 8 months! If so what were your circumstances. Fingers crossed xxxxxxxx And to everyone, 'GOODLUCK'.

Hi Michelle,

It depends on the visa type, and I suppose circumstances too, but I was under the impression they seem to be coming through pretty quick at the mo.
Ours was a 176 and took 5mths, some on here who applied the same week for the same visa are still waiting.

I don't have a link but try a website called BE Timeline, hundreds of visa timelines on there.

Good luck
Sheena

My OH and I are on a e457 visa and are in the final stages waiting for the actual visa (Aiming to fly 3rd Nov). We started the application process in June..so about 5 months. She in an Oncology nurse so got work very quickly. It depends on how fast you get the paperwork done, get hold of all the certificates and how much tim eyou spent chasing the agencies etc. We had a month delay due to problems with the Nurses Registration Board as well getting the registration took the longest out of all the things we;ve dont so far.

Hi
We have just had ours granted in 5 months. If you apply online it speeds it up, also frontloading meds and PCs. We have a 175 visa and my OH job is on MODL (which I think nursing may be too). May be even quicker than 8 months. x

I think lately they have speeded up the processing. People are waiting less time especially if they frontload meds/pcc's.
