Hello Wobbles

Welcome to Poms in Oz.

The checklist for the subclass 175 visa is here:

http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener..._checklist.pdf

Check off the bundle of documents at least 3 times and then do it again just for luck! Make sure the bundle is complete. Once it is, take a deep breath, take it to the post office or summon a document courier (safer but not crucial) and get rid of it on its way to Australia.

The main reason for visa refusals is that the applicant has mis-understood the criteria for the visa. However you sound to me like the sort of person who has read all the bumph thoroughly. Hubby is a brickie and you say he obtained a positive skills assessment in November 2007. Make sure you include the proof of that in the bundle. Your application should be straightforward.

It is important to have faith in yourself at this stage. You can read a recipe and do what it says, can't you? Of course you can and this is no different.

You've got last minute stage-fright, that's all! You will be OK.

Please come back and tell us when the application is on its way to Oz.

Best wishes

Gill

Hi Wobbles

WELL DONE YOU!!! The hardest bit is now over & done with. Please let me know when you (eventually) get an acknowledgement.

Are you aware of the weekly e-mail?

If not, if you send a completely blank e-mail to aspc.processing@immi.gov.au you should get an auto reply within a couple of hours. The reply is a great long thing. Theoretically they update it every Tuesday. In practice they update it when the New Moon falls on a Tuesday but only if they remember...

However, it is better than nothing!

Cheers

Gill
