Hi no idea how long it all takes, there are others on here that can be more precise.

Get your skills assessed ASAP and as long as you get the visa aplication in by the date in feb 09 (i assume that ist due to your birthday?) you should be ok, the meds/police checks come after the initial appliaction goes in.
If i were you i would start it tomorrow! No time like the presesnt!
      Good luck!

      Hi,

Don't want to put a 'downer' on things before you've even started but I would suggest you have a look on the vetassess website to find out when the next set of skills test are scheduled for after the October dates.

I've no idea what the closing date for payment of the practical test is for October but if you haven't submitted your paper based evidence then it's possible your too late for the October assessment as it takes approx 3-4 weeks to process.

      Good luck with your application.

      Hi Mutley,
We applied for TRA on 25th Jan and had it, State Sponsorship and application lodged by 27th March, with the help of a great agent, as Tony's 45th was in April and we were really against the clock, so it can be done. However, if you need vetassess, I think it may take longer than TRA, not too sure, but good luck!

Depends on your vetassess stuff but you should be able to if you move quick, yes. Our TRA stuff only took a month but that was before the new style bits and pieces. You have 5 months, its doable, but you will have to shift !

      Mutley,

I'd definately consider getting a good agent. That should increase your chances of getting both the TRA and the lodgement right first time and therefore increase the chances of making your deadline. Good advice from AndreanDaz too as I have a feeling they are right!
Good luck let us all know how you get on.
