application being processed further..

Hi,

My online 175 Skilled application was received 27/08/08 and I had my health requirements finalised 4/09/08.

My application status has now gone from "application received - processing commenced" to "application being processed further". Isn't this quite quick and what does it mean really? I've read threads where this has taken months...

I've sent in all the required documents online. My IELTS, PASA assessments and my degree etc. are "received". My work experience is still "required" though according to the Electronic Application Status Inquiry website. It is my understanding that this will not be updated until I get a CO?

Hopefully they have speeded things up!!

Hi ellie

I think it just means that a real person is now looking at your aplication. There seems to be no rhyme or reason in the order of how applications are handled so you may just be lucky ? What does it say on the 2nd page of your online app? Does it indicate what is still outstanding, as that may give you a good idea of how the land lies.

We've just sent off the last of our info and we've been told to expect a decision within 8 to 10 weeks.

Hi Sue,

On the 2nd page it says that evidence of work experience and passport photos are still outstanding, even though I added this to my online application. I was surprised how quickly it changed from "in process" to "being processed further". Maybe it's because my application is pretty straight forward...it's for me only and I'm on MODL. Or maybe it will take months and months...who knows really?!

Hi I'm on a 176 visa which i put online on 19Th of march medicals and police clearance front loaded. On the 28/8 my status changed to being processed further . They requested my wife's passport bio-data page plus evidence of state government certifying body nomination . So my agent send them that day. My wife's and my x rays and medicals and police checks say met next to them .On the 2/09 my wife's passport which my agent had send off changed from requested to received and they also want my evidence of specific work experience.My agent has said she has not received an email to say we have a co .

I have just look at my online status and they are requesting i contact them with the extra info within 28 days that was Tuesday i can't believe i mist it .

Shouldn't your agent have noticed that? How annoying that must be for you.
I don't have an agent, so I have to check my status every day...

Wow! At first i was thinking maybe if you had emailed them, this can sometimes change the status to 'processing further', but the fact that some things are saying 'met' looks good!

Hi Patrice, have you checked your status online? Cause it seems a bit strange (or just very very lucky??) if my application is being processed further 8 days after I applied for the visa. I guess it depends on hundreds of factors...

I haven't emailed them or called them or anything. Thought I would start with that next month.
