TRA how much info

Hi all, I am a Fire Alarm eng and i am getting together all the info for TRa to assess my skills. My question is just how much detail do you need to go into when describing your work? are there any other alarm eng out there with a positve TRA result that can point me in the right direction, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Carl, for the TRA you have to send everything that you have to back up your apprenticeship and all your jobs that you have had.
Dont miss out anything at all.
You have to try and write what you do in your job as though you was explaining it to an alien.Everything from picking a pen up to putting your tools in your van.I know its sounds boring, but if it comes back successful, it will all be worth it.

When it came to explaining my job, my agent edited and coaxed me, and I got there in the end!
Basically, you need to explain the process of installing (your chosen trade applience) in detail. Mine was gas fitter, so my story began with: I take the applience out of packaging, check manufacturers instructions to make sure t would fit in desired location using a tape measure. I would then use a tape measure and spirit level to mark out the template on the wall. I would then fixi the jig to the wall using a hammer drill to make the holes, and screwdriver to-----------blah, blah, blah-
mention all power and hand tools used, and method of use etc-and YES it does need to be explained like this-as if you were talking to an alien!
