457 Visa Granted!!

Hi all,

In true POI style, I can't help but share with you all that our 457 Visa has been granted this morning!

As a tale of hope for all those looking to secure a 457 visa it was granted in super quick time.....

from lodging visa online to grant of visa.......14days....surely that must be some kind of POI 457 visa record!!

Visa lodged 5Aug.....I had my manual chest x-ray done and couriered last monday (11Aug) and my partner had hers done via the online method last thurs(14Aug) and then I logged onto the DIAC site this morning, more in hope that in expectation, to find out that our visa was granted overnight (18Aug).....Cant believe that it has been so quick...we were initially quoted 6-8 weeks from start to finish!

Anyways, we will now be heading to the travel agents to see if there are any flights left to Melbourne for 9,10 or 11 Sept.....

Thanks guys, we are Laura - going out to work for one of the accounting 'big four' doing GST and Ed - UK solicitor going to study to transfer whilst working as a foreign lawyer / paralegal....Planning on being in the Bayside area......cant wait....

Congratulations!

My application was finally sent off by my agents last Thursday and the x-ray had been done and sent off by the radiologist back on Monday 4th August. Hopefully I don't have long to wait either
