How long does state sponsorship take?

Hi everyone,

My agent has just sent off my documents for state sponsorship (South Australia) today. She said it will be 4-6 weeks before we hear back, does it really take this long??! How long did yours take?

I'm gutted, I thought it was 2 weeks.

Hi,

Our agent sent our State Sponsorship of 2 weeks ago now and when we spoker to her this morning she said we might hear something back next week, I have heard they usually take around 3 weeks to come back.

We applied to SA and it took 10 days for the approval to come back.

Our SA state sponsorship took 5 weeks. But unlike others who are still waiting to be asked to get theri meds and pc's, ours have been requested straight away. So swings and roundabouts I suppose.

Oh my goodness, can they request medicals for state sponsorship?! They cant do that - I havent had my cardiologist appointment yet to get my white coat hypertension confirmed (due in October).

What are the chances of them requesting medicals for state sponsorship?

Hi i got my nursing state sponsorship back in 10 day, i was told about 4 weeks so my agent and i were real pleased. It makes you feel like we are wanted down under, lol

My skill was off the list nomination for WA (on the Aus SOL list but not WA SOL list). We got our sponsorship approval back in less than 3weeks, we were told 8-10 weeks so completely hyperventilated and got excited when we heard back so soon!
