Visa in Passports?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if there's a time limit for getting the visa stamped in your passports?

We're getting married in August. We think it would be better to wait until after the wedding then apply for a new passport for my OH (name change) and then send both passports off to get the visas. Our only concern is whether there's any time limit other than the validation date. We have to validate our visas before the 12th December.

Any help appreciated.

Hello,

There is no time limit on having the visas evidenced (which is what they call the process of sticking your visa label into your passports). But when sending in a new passport you should make sure that you also include a copy of the old passport and let the officer know that the passport details have changed.
