Hia all

Does anyone have an idea how long vetassess take before you know if you've passed the skills assessment. We're not quite ready to send it off yet but if we do pass we have to pay for the practical assessments by 8th September. If we miss this i think the next one isn't until January. We still have 5 weeks at the moment but we are still waiting to get another work reference and cetificates certified

We sent our paper assessment to Vetassess on 16 April and they notified us that we had passed on 6 May, so around 3 weeks in all.

My hubby has been ill this week so he hasn't been able to go and see his old boss. He still has a bit to fill out for his evidence. I can't do any of these things for him and i'm getting frustrated. It's taken me a long time to agree to move to oz and now i've decided to go i just won't to get on with it. I really want him to do his practical in October if we come to a stand still i'm worried i might change my mind.

It's hard going isn't it? It seemed to take forever to get all our paperwork together, although it does all seem to come together quite quickly at the end. It was such a good feeling when we actually got to the stage of parcelling it up to send off.

Which trade are you going for? and wherabouts in Oz are you hoping to move to?

Eammon took his carpentry practical on 21 July, so we're waiting for our results to come through -just really hoping we get a positive.

It took 4 weeks for my paper assessment result to come back, if you need any examples of how to put your evidence together then i might be able to help there. Just found out today that the practical assessment that I took on the 15th of July was successful, so it took just over 2 weeks to get the result, however there are people on PIO that have had their practical assessments back quicker!

My husband is a motor mechanic and we have been looking around pacific pines and surrounding areas. Its hard trying to find somewhere as near to the beach and as affordable as possible especially when you haven't a clue as to what places are like. Pacific pines seems to have good reviews but i expect we'll be a least a year so who knows. x

Hi,

We submitted our paperwork to vetassess on 20 Feb and didn't find out we'd passed until 30th March, it took 4 1/2 weeks in total.
